OceanJet – Online Booking, Travel Schedule and FAQs

Originally a cargo company, OceanJet has now been one of Philippines most reliable ferry operators for 20 years. They have a fleet of 19 high speed ferries that serves 10 destinations and their mission statement is short and simple: “Taking you there fast and easy”. Though their vessels might not live up to the same standard as 2GO Travel, they do make up for it by having a lot lower prices.

OceanJet Ferry 388

Their ferries are available in three accommodation classes; business class which comes with air condition, wider space and reclinable seats, tourist class which has air condition, and the budget option open air class which is just what it sounds like, a seat without air condition. The ferries are also equipped with flat screen TV’s playing the latest and vintage box office movies to make the time go by quicker.

All in all OceanJet is an affordable and reliable ferry operator that takes you between some of Philippines most popular destinations.

OceanJet Online Booking

As with most ferry tickets, it’s best to book early while the prices are at the minimum. The earlier you book – the better price you get. If you plan on booking online we highly suggest you book it through Travelfoot/12Go as booking online through OceanJet directly will add documentation requirements you need to bring before they allow you to board (photo copy of ID +  the front of the card used).

OceanJet Reviews

OceanJet has a good reputation among travelers and they are normally good with keeping up with set schedules. Travelers consider their ferries decent for the price and are happy with the seating size, especially in business class.

The most common complaint is that there are no facilities on board, meaning you have to bring anything you want to drink and eat. If you buy tickets for business class you also have to be prepare to log your luggage up quite narrow stairs. OceanJet helps with this during boarding, but not normally on disembarking. Some note that the movies playing aren’t always child friendly, so keep that in mind.
